Team Jason Esteves is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join its team as the Political Assistant. The Political Assistant will assist in executing the campaign’s political outreach program and serve as a primary day-to-day staffer to the candidate on the campaign trail. The Political Assistant will be managed by the Campaign Manager. This is an entry-level position.
Ideal candidates will have the ability to represent the campaign at public events with a high degree of professionalism, and will have impeccable attention to detail both in the planning of events and in conducting all necessary follow up.
Responsibilities
- Travel with and staff the candidate at campaign and community events
- Work with the Campaign Manager and other team members to effectively manage the candidate’s time
- Respond to scheduling requests and serve as a point of contact for external partners
- Help organize the campaign’s outreach efforts across the state
- Assist in planning and staffing political events
- Manage volunteers and interns and assist with voter contact efforts
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- A high level of professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency in Google Suite, including Docs and Sheets
- Proficiency in NGPVAN is a plus
- Access to a car and ability to easily travel
Logistics
- Salary: $48,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience
- Location: Based in Atlanta, GA
- Hours: This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and will require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
