ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We’re looking for a Data & Acquisitions Strategist to join our team. The individual in this role will manage the organic and paid growth strategy of our PAC and campaign clients, as well as track and analyze content performance and testing, in collaboration with a team of Digital Fundraising Strategists and Associates.
This role will be primarily responsible for the daily oversight of client list acquisition, performance monitoring, and will assist planning and strategy for client growth. This role works closely with our firm Principal, coordinating across teams to execute successful growth strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage high volume acquisition programs for PAC and campaign clients, working with various teams (e.g., clients, strategists, principals, etc.) to understand their needs and align data strategies with client objectives

Monitor acquisition and rental ROI and drive adjustments as needed for optimal performance

Manage vendor relationships for list acquisition, and lead/organize invoicing with accounting team

Be proactive about strategic potential donor list growth

Work with Strategist to select and optimize copy for rentals

Maintain strategic list growth schedule based on client need, defining and managing the long-term roadmap and budget forecasts

Provide secondary leadership and mentorship to digital fundraising team as an expert in this field

Participate in client facing calls and strategy meetings and report regularly to clients regarding high level metrics and performance, answering technical inquiries as needed, and providing guidance and corrective advice when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
-
3-4 cycles of experience preferred as part of a digital team on a political campaign, at a political organization, or a political firm, with a strong preference for digital fundraising

2-4 years experience with building, monitoring, and improving potential donor list acquisition, growth and overall health at a high level

Understanding of data warehousing, database systems, and data governance principles

Proficiency in programming languages such as python, R, and/or SQL
-
Demonstrated understanding of statistical principles and methods for the purpose of conducting accurate data analysis and drawing meaningful conclusions

Fluency with CRMs like ActionKit, NGP/EveryAction, Switchboard

In depth understanding of ActBlue, and willingness to learn more and test alternative payment processors

Expert knowledge of peer-to-peer or mass text messaging tools, like Switchboard and Scale To Win

Experience managing discerning and knowledgeable clients, especially those that may not always agree with you at first!

Extreme level of organization, with ability to combine multiple unstructured data sets into actionable insights. If you don’t absolutely obsess over organization and making sure every piece of info is immaculate, be honest with yourself!

Eagerness to contribute to client strategy, and familiarity with speaking up confidently within your area of expertise

Ability to manage competing tasks and discern priorities for both client and the company

Ability to think strategically with an eye toward the future, including what will be necessary for client growth 3, 6, 9, and 12 months into the future
