JOB DESCRIPTION

The Strategist, Paid Media supports the planning, execution, and analysis of advertising campaigns across multiple platforms (Google, Facebook, Programmatic, Snapchat, etc.). This role will focus on day-to-day campaign management and reporting, working closely with more senior strategists to ensure campaigns are optimized and aligned with client goals.

Day to day

  • Assist in launching and maintaining advertising campaigns across a range of digital platforms

  • Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven optimizations under guidance

  • Support reporting efforts, pulling data and creating client-facing reports and presentations

  • Collaborate with internal teams on client communications and media planning

  • Learn and apply best practices across channels and platforms

Core Responsibilities

  • Support development of media plans based on established objectives and budgets

  • Execute advertising campaigns across platforms including Google, Facebook, and programmatic DSPs

  • Monitor budgets and flag pacing or performance concerns

  • Conduct keyword research, refine targeting, and manage campaign audiences

  • Use reporting tools to track key performance indicators and trends

  • Communicate results to internal team members

  • Co-ordinate internally on work with team in a timely and responsive manner

Qualifications

  • 1–2+ years of experience in digital advertising working in public affairs, politics, and non-profits

  • Persuasion & Fundraising experience preferred

  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets

  • Familiarity with Google Ads Manager and Facebook Ads Manager

  • Exposure to programmatic platforms (e.g., Nexxen, StackAdapt) is a plus

  • Experience with Google Tag Manager or Data Studio is a bonus

  • Familiarity with political tools like ActBlue, NGPVAN, or Action Network is helpful

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills

  • Interest in digital strategy and progressive politics
