POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a strategic and passionate Director of Member Activation to lead the growth, engagement, and retention of our nationwide network of physician advocates. This role is ideal for a dynamic organizer and planner who thrives in both high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.
The Director of Member Activation will drive member engagement through high- impact programming, events (both virtual and in-person), and community- building initiatives. You’ll play a crucial role in growing and energizing our base of physician advocates—and building the power of our movement.
By joining our team, you will collaborate directly with physicians who are champions in their communities, bringing together the voices of frontline health care providers to build a healthier, more affordable future. On the team, you will work with among the most dedicated and fierce campaigners for health care in the country. LEAD MAJOR EVENT STRATEGY
- Direct the planning and execution of the Committee’s National Conference.
- Oversee virtual and in-person events that activate and energize members.
ORGANIZATION COLLABORATION
- Coordinate with organizing, development, media, and online teams to ensure alignment.
- Enforce quality control and high standards for all events and member spaces.
- Collaborate with internal leadership to design quarterly staff retreats and team spaces.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead regular communications to members and prospective advocates.
- Build and sustain relationships with physician leaders.
- Develop a roster of key allies in politics, policy, and media.
MEMBER GROWTH AND ACTIVATION
- Set and meet recruitment and retention goals across national and state campaigns.
- Integrate events into organizing and development strategies Maintain and evolve our ‘Advocates Dashboard’ for real-time visibility into engagement.
WHO YOU ARE We’re looking for a bold and highly organized leader with a deep understanding of political strategy and grassroots organizing. You’re a relationship-builder who brings people together to drive action and change.
QUALIFICATIONS Must-Haves:
- Proven experience organizing people in political or advocacy spaces.
- Event planning and curriculum/training design experience (virtual and in- person)
- Data fluency, including Excel and comfort navigating CRM/databases.
- Confidence working with high-profile partners (VIPs, electeds, medical professionals)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and professionalism.
- Flexible and responsive to a fast-paced news cycle and shifting priorities.
- Deep commitment to reproductive freedom and equitable health care.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience in high-profile advocacy, candidate, or ballot campaigns
- Familiarity with digital organizing and/or content strategy
- Comfort working across multiple departments and time zones
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive salary within the stated range ($70,000-$100,000 annually)
- 100% premium reimbursement for ACA exchange policies
- Remote work with flexible hours (core hours typically 9 AM–5 PM ET)
