JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT US

The Pipeline Fund is working toward a reflective democracy where skilled, diverse, community leaders are fully supported to run for office, run campaigns, and advance progressive policies that address the urgent needs of all Americans. Founded in 2020, we are a robust coalition of over 100 organizations focused on building the pipeline of leaders from underrepresented communities, including women, BIPOC, young, LGBTQ+, working class, and new Americans. We accomplish this by convening national and state pipeline organizations regularly to build community and to share best practices; providing pipeline building organizations with the data and tools they need to do their work more effectively; and funding and supporting state pipeline organizations to recruit, train, and support diverse leaders in key states. The Pipeline network of organizations includes the Pipeline Fund (a 501(c)(4), the Pipeline Education Fund (a non-partisan 501(c)(3)), and the Pipeline Initiative (a nonprofit corporation).

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking an energetic and highly-organized Development Manager to manage the fundraising strategy and activities of the organization. This is a key role in helping to grow and sustain the organization. The successful candidate will be analytical and creative, collaborate well with a passionate, fun and high-performing staff, and coordinate and manage multiple projects.

This Development Manager will work closely with the Executive Director, who is the chief fundraiser for the organization. This is a new position, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help establish a professional fundraising and donor relations operation at the Pipeline Fund. The position will require managing relations with the Pipeline Fund’s current, long-standing donor partners, as well as supporting efforts to broaden the donor base. The Development Manager will also be a partner to the Executive Director in identifying opportunities to tell the story of the Pipeline network and its impact to donors on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter with a deep commitment to reflective democracy who is ready to advance a career in fundraising.

The starting salary range for this role is $70,000- $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We offer a competitive benefits package including a full suite of health and wellness benefits and paid time off. This position reports to the Finance and Operations Director but works closely with the Executive Director. This is a remote position, but candidates must be willing to travel frequently.
