State Senator Cindy Holscher’s campaign for Governor of Kansas is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Finance Director.

Raised on a Kansas farm by a Marine veteran father and a school janitor mother, Cindy learned the value of hard work, community, and opportunity from a young age. A first-generation college graduate and long-time Kansas resident, Cindy has served in both the State House and State Senate, where she has championed fully funded public schools, economic growth, infrastructure, and affordable healthcare. Her record includes ending the state sales tax on food, eliminating the Social Security tax, and expanding child care tax credits. Cindy’s campaign for Governor in 2026 is a top-tier race that will draw statewide and national attention. The Finance Director is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for building and executing a robust fundraising program to secure the resources needed to win.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and manage a diverse finance team to implement an aggressive fundraising program through the primary and general election.

• Build and execute a comprehensive finance plan in coordination with the Campaign Manager and senior staff, with clear fundraising goals and reporting structures.

• Manage all day-to-day finance operations, including candidate call time, donor research, donor cultivation, follow-up, and fundraising correspondence.

• Organize and manage a strong calendar of fundraising events in Kansas and nationally, coordinating all event logistics and briefing materials.

• Lead donor prospecting efforts to expand and strengthen the campaign’s donor network.

• Develop and manage a Finance Committee and other leadership fundraising structures to maximize donor engagement.

• Maintain strict compliance and accurate reporting for all fundraising activities in partnership with the campaign’s compliance consultants.

• Provide regular progress updates and projections to the Campaign Manager and senior team.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least two election cycles of political fundraising experience, with experience as a Finance Director or Deputy Finance Director strongly preferred.

• Experience working on statewide campaigns is preferred.

• Proven ability to manage staff and consultants, organize events, and communicate effectively with high-level donors.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced campaign environment.

• Proficiency with NGP, ActBlue, Google Suite, and Zoom required; familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe) a plus.

• Access to reliable transportation and flexibility for in-state and occasional out-of-state travel.
