JOB DESCRIPTION

Rick McCartney for Congress is the committee for a candidate in AZ-01, a top-tier Democratic pickup target. The campaign is looking for a Finance Director to manage an aggressive, multichannel fundraising operation, including significant national outreach. The ideal candidate will have experience in effective call time management, donor research, event planning, and online fundraising.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish fundraising goals, tactics, and metrics for a highly competitive race with national reach.

  • Develop, oversee, and update the campaign finance plan and related cash flow documents.

  • Hire the finance team that will execute all fundraising programs.

  • Daily management of the finance team, including campaign staff, consultants, and vendors.

  • Implement tracking and reporting to monitor progress toward meeting quarterly goals.

  • Oversee Arizona and national events programs and staff national travel events when necessary.

  • Oversee candidate and staff call time programs including list development and timely follow up, as well as staffing call time when needed.

  • Work with compliance consultants to oversee campaign fundraising compliance programs and systems.

  • Work with the candidate to recruit and maintain an aggressive finance committee.

Requirements:

  • At least one full cycle of campaign fundraising experience; finance director, deputy-level, or call time manager preferred.

  • Proven experience with political call time and donor outreach, including a high volume of calls and data management.

  • A strong understanding of fundraising best practices and donor stewardship.

  • A person who is highly organized, competitive, and results-driven. Some background in sales is helpful but not necessary.

  • Working knowledge of Numero.

  • Based in the Phoenix area or willing to relocate.
