Our team is committed to equity, inclusion, and uplifting the voices of everyday people in our democracy.
This position is temporary and lasts until March 30, 2026 with the possibility of extension until November 15th, 2026. Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until at least August 15th, 2025. This is an in-person position in Schaumburg, Illinois, which will require establishing residence in or near Illinois’ Eighth Congressional District.
Position Overview
The Field Organizer will work directly with the Field Director to execute the campaign's field plan, manage volunteer engagement, and assist in political development throughout the district.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to…
● ** Petitioning**: The Field Organizer will manage volunteers gathering petitions to get Neil on the ballot
● ** Volunteer Management**: The Field Organizer will recruit, train, and oversee volunteers for canvassing, phone-banking, and text-banking
● ** Data Entry:** The Field Organizer will oversee data entry and ensure accurate reporting into VAN
● ** Digital and Peer-to-Peer Organizing:**. The Field Organizer will manage the tools used in these efforts and the development and tracking of tactics
● ** Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement**: The Field Organizer will manage the conversion of supporters into active volunteers, and the ongoing engagement of a vibrant volunteer community
Qualifications
● At least one cycle of experience as a field organizer or equivalent position
● Previous experience recruiting and managing teams of canvassers and volunteers
● Expertise in VAN and experience with tools for digital and peer-to-peer organizing
● Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills; a warm attitude; and passion for bold political action
● Dedication to meticulously tracking metrics and progress toward goals
● Passion for thinking outside the box and organizing communities
