Resonance Campaigns, a leading political direct mail firm, is seeking an experienced Operations Director to join our team based in Washington, DC. The Operations Director will manage all organizational operations including financial management, human resources, and day to day project management and office administration. This role will report to the Managing Partner, work closely with the management team, and collaborate regularly with all staff.
Essential responsibilities include:
Financial Management

Work with partners to plan and analyze annual and cycle budgets and monitor revenues and expenditures

Develop revenue projections and monitor performance in coordination with partners

Advise account executives on pricing for client budgets; create, send, and follow up on client invoices and accounts receivable

Process and reconcile all accounts payable and other spending; regularly track and analyze vendor costs and identify opportunities for cost savings

Coordinate regularly with accountant to generate and submit tax filings
Human Resources

Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees and contractors

Advise on cycle staff planning

Process payroll and coordinate benefits enrollment and maintenance

Oversee annual performance review process
Other Administration

Manage client and vendor contracts and internal firewall requirements and procedures

Schedule meetings and events and book travel for staff members as needed

Manage day to day office needs, including IT and information security policies, supplies, and subscriptions/licenses and coordinating with office vendors
Essential Skills and Qualifications Include:

5+ years of work experience, with at least one cycle of senior level political work

Demonstrated experience and comfort with budgets and accounts payable/receivable

Demonstrated experience with human resources, including hiring, payroll, and employee benefits

Proficient in Google Workspace, macOS, QuickBooks, Dropbox; tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools

High level of organization, meticulous attention to detail, an ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

A commitment to electing Democrats to public office

Sense of humor
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for the position is $90,000 to $110,000 plus the opportunity for a generous post election cycle bonus. Resonance also offers competitive benefits, including employer-paid health, dental, vision, and long-term disability insurance, and enrollment in the 401k plan after one year with annual employer contributions.
