Summary: The New Hampshire Democratic Party Senate Caucus is seeking a Finance Director to oversee all aspects of our fundraising programs. The Finance Director will be responsible for building and executing a comprehensive fundraising program for the New Hampshire Senate Democratic Caucus, including major donor outreach, call time management, digital fundraising, and event planning. They will work closely with Senate leadership and candidates to grow the caucus’s donor base, support individual fundraising efforts, and ensure compliance with state finance laws.
The Finance Director will report to the Executive Director and Democratic leadership in the New Hampshire State Senate. This is expected to be a full-cycle position. This is an in-person role based in New Hampshire, with travel throughout the state required.
About the NHSDC: The New Hampshire Senate Democratic Caucus runs State Senate campaigns, in order to retake the New Hampshire Senate majority. We are planning an ambitious and comprehensive program to defeat the Republican gerrymander and build a Caucus capable of competing for the majority every cycle. Working for the NHSDC is a great opportunity to try new techniques or ideas, build experience across campaign departments, and help Granite Staters improve their lives.
Responsibilities:
● Design a comprehensive fundraising program that incorporates national partnerships, major donors, call-time, digital fundraising, and small-to-large scale fundraising events.
● Plan, schedule, and execute small-and large-scale fundraising events across New Hampshire and the region.
● Manage member call time for the NHSDC, conduct all follow-up donor correspondence and pledges, and oversee thank you programs.
● Build on existing donor databases by identifying, researching, and recruiting new donors.
● Assist members in building strong relationships with major donors for the NHSDC
● Oversee compliance, preparing state finance reports for the caucus and member campaigns
● Improve and maintain accurate records
● Create direct mail solicitations and digital solicitations
● Staff NHSDC leadership, other members, and challengers at finance-related events
● Assist in coordinating internal planning, timelines, and goal tracking across the cycle.
● Help identify opportunities to improve operations and troubleshoot emerging challenges.
● Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

● 2+ campaign cycles of fundraising experience with increasing responsibility; experience on state legislative or caucus campaigns strongly preferred.
● Proven ability to manage and execute call time programs, including candidate preparation, pledge follow-up, and donor cultivation.
● Experience planning and executing fundraising events, from small house parties to large-scale regional events.
● Familiarity with Democratic fundraising platforms (ActBlue, Numero, NGP, etc.) and donor research tools.
● Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of maintaining accurate and up-to-date donor records.
● Experience with compliance and campaign finance reporting at the state or federal level.
● Demonstrated success in major donor fundraising, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
