LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR RACE

Job Title: Campaign**** Finance Director

Job Type: Full-Time

Location (subject to change): Bakersfield,CA. In-Person

Travel Time: 40%-60% across the State of California

Salary:$75,000 - $85,000

Description:

The Finance Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising plan for the campaign. This includes identifying donors, organizing fundraising events, managing donor relationships, and ensuring the campaign meets its financial goals. The Finance Director will report directly to the Campaign Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a fundraising plan in collaboration with the candidate, campaign manager, staff, and stakeholders.

  • Maximize fundraising efforts through sources such as call time, events, PAC contributions, digital, and direct mail.

  • Identify potential donors and fundraising opportunities across the State.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute in-person and virtual fundraising events across California, including house parties, donor briefings, and large-scale receptions.

  • Ensure all fundraising activities are fully compliant with California FPPC laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two cycles of campaign finance experience

  • Familiarity with California’s political fundraising landscape

  • Ability to travel state-wide fundraising trips

  • Excellent organizational skills, incredible attention to detail

  • Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently when necessary

  • Ability to work effectively within a flexible and adapting work environment

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain systems for record-keeping and reporting

  • Knowledge of and experience with NGP as well as Google Sheets or Excel

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Goal-oriented work ethic

  • Ability to work long hours and weekends

  • Strong understanding of campaign compliance laws and filing deadlines
