The Finance Director will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing all aspects of the campaign’s fundraising program. This role requires a detail-oriented strategist who can oversee multiple fundraising channels, build strong donor relationships, and ensure the campaign meets its ambitious financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the creation and execution of the overall finance plan, including quarterly and monthly targets.

Manage and optimize all fundraising channels, including call time, events, digital, direct mail, and PAC outreach.

Develop and maintain donor pipelines; oversee research, prospecting, and cultivation plans for high-dollar donors.

Serve as primary staff contact for top-tier donors and stakeholders, ensuring high-touch, personalized engagement.

Plan, staff, and execute high-dollar fundraising events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale receptions.

Coordinate surrogates, hosts, and bundlers to maximize fundraising impact.

Supervise the Finance Director and any finance associates, interns, or consultants, ensuring deadlines and revenue goals are met.

Integrate the finance program with field, communications, and political teams to leverage campaign activities for fundraising opportunities.

Provide weekly reports to the Campaign Manager and Candidate on revenue progress and projections.

Oversee call time preparation, briefing materials, and follow-up tracking to ensure maximum candidate efficiency.

Work closely with the compliance team to ensure all fundraising activities are legally compliant and meticulously reported.

Track and manage budgetary implications of fundraising activities.
Qualifications:

3+ years of campaign finance experience; prior statewide or federal finance leadership strongly preferred.

Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar fundraising goals.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to juggle multiple high-priority projects without dropping deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships with donors, hosts, and political stakeholders.

Comfort with NGP 8 preferred and advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.

Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, as the campaign schedule demands.

Kansas ties or experience working in competitive Midwestern races a plus.
