JOB DESCRIPTION
Cooper for North Carolina (CFNC) is looking to hire a full-time Deputy Digital Director, Content, to join our growing Digital team based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Deputy Digital Director, Content will report to the Digital Director and manage our social media strategy and online content production workflows. The ideal candidate is Internet-savvy, self-led, and detail-oriented.
Qualifications:

4+ years or 2+ cycles running a social media program in a corporate, political, government, or non-profit setting.

Excellent writing skills — quick, instinctive, and social-first.

Political and digital acuity — know what fires people up and where we should be firing them up.

Knowledge of online communities, political and non-political, and how they engage with each other, including but not limited to those in North Carolina.

Must have experience managing content calendars, creative projects, or people.

Experience executing high-stakes and high-stress rapid response moments.

Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Self-motivated team player.

Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed.

Proficiency with Sprout Social and content creation tools like Canva, Kapwing, or Adobe products.
Responsibilities:

Working with the Digital Director to develop and execute the CFNC online content program, including management of content staff and workstreams.

Managing the campaign’s content calendar and social media accounts across all platforms – including but not limited to X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, etc.

Crafting posts from beginning to end that will help us win the online attention war.

Managing rapid response from initial identification to posting approved content.

Collaborating with the Video, Creative, and Comms Teams to produce high-quality content that is on brand and on voice.

Assisting with other campaign-related activities as needed.
Compensation
Salary: $9,000 per month.
Healthcare premium covered by campaign.
Hours: Full-time position. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
