JOB DESCRIPTION

The political compliance associate will be assigned to one or more client teams depending on the size and complexities of the client(s) to which they are assigned. Associates are primarily responsible for entering the data and keeping client records up-to-date to allow the senior members of the team to more easily respond to the client and problem solve. Although the most junior position in the firm, it is also the most critical since many of the decisions made, either on behalf of the client, or with regard to internal structure, depend on the work the Associates do. ** This position will be a MBA employee deployed to the Jon Ossoff for Senate campaign in Atlanta, GA.**

Essential Functions

  • Process campaign contributions into compliance and accounting databases.

  • Screen for and address any compliance issues with campaign contributions.

  • Assist senior members of the team with weekly client deliverables; such as the cash-on-hand report.

  • Assist senior members of the team with monthly and quarterly reconciliations.

  • Generate simplified income and expense reports as needed.

  • Track and process expenses for the client.

  • Correspond with vendors and donors on client’s behalf.

  • Assists senior members of the team with disbursements for accounts payable .

  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets

  • Familiarity with NGP/EveryAction software

  • Familiarity with Online search engines

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities

  • Ability to be dynamic and adapt to meet the organization’s changing needs

  • Ethical and values integrity

  • Enjoys working closely with others of diverse backgrounds and personalities

  • High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • At least 2 years campaign experience with state or federal campaign finance law compliance preferred

Compensation Package

Salary: $60,000-$75,000 per year

Paid Vacation:

  • 8 paid volunteer hours annually

Position type and expected hours of work

Full-time; 40 hours per week (subject to increase during an election “on” year and during filing periods)
