JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Part-Time Social Media Manager

Reports To: Executive Director

Location: Remote

Hours: 6-7 hours a week

Compensation: $26 per hour

Unite Kentucky is a SuperPAC working to change the political landscape in the state. We support candidates who focus on solutions, not partisanship, and fight for a better commonwealth for ALL Kentuckians. We provide free data consulting, organizing support, and training to local community and political organizations recruiting candidates.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, creative, and strategic part-time Social Media Manager to build our presence across social platforms. You’ll be responsible for planning, creating, scheduling, and analyzing content that drives engagement, builds community, and supports marketing goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging and on-brand content 2-3 times a week

  • Manage content calendar and schedule posts

  • Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely and professional manner

  • Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and opportunities

  • Stay current on social media best practices, trends, and platform updates

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for a candidate, campaign, brand, or business

  • Strong understanding of social platforms and content strategies

  • Excellent written and visual communication skills

  • Proficiency with social media tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Business Suite)

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or background in Marketing Communications, or a related field

  • Experience with political campaigns, non-profit/advocacy, and/or Super PACs

  • Familiarity with SEO and content marketing principles
