JOB DESCRIPTION

Fellows will commit 5–15 hours per week, either locally (Williamsburg, James City County, York County, Gloucester, Newport News and surrounding areas) or remotely, and will play a key role in voter outreach, grassroots mobilization, and Election Day operations in a district Democrats lost by just 1% in 2024. With early voting beginning September 19th, the program will focus on banking votes early, chasing absentee ballots, maintaining visibility at polling sites, and executing a final four-day push to turn out every supporter. Through canvassing, phone and text outreach, volunteer recruitment, and data-driven ballot chase programs, fellows will gain hands-on campaign experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities while helping build the grassroots power needed to flip this seat and decide control of the House of Delegates.

This is an unpaid fellowship, but no prior campaign experience is required—just passion, commitment, and an interest in politics or public service. There may be limited paid opportunities closer to Election Day for high performing fellows.
