Mike Thompson for Congress Campaign Manager

The Campaign Manager will be responsible for implementing the grassroots field campaign and providing logistical support to coordinate endorsements, fundraising and communications. The Campaign Manager will be in daily communication with Rep. Mike Thompson and CleanSweep Campaigns to ensure our campaign strategy is being executed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Grassroots Organizing and Volunteer Management
- Identify phone bank locations and meeting locations for precinct walks; coordinate virtual phone banks
- Work with team to recruit, remind and thank volunteers
- Attend every phone bank and precinct walk
- Print and prepare training documents, packets and maps for every phone bank and precinct walk
- Manage volunteer, precinct walking and phone banking data in PDI, our online voter database
- Train and oversee volunteers, helping to ensure volunteers are on message and properly using all campaign tools — including PDI Mobile App — to accurately collect data
- Track and enter results daily
- Help identify, track and coordinate window and street sign locations and delivery
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key community stakeholders and community leaders
- Schedule, organize and execute meetings for Rep. Mike Thompson with key community stakeholders and community leaders
- Provide regular feedback and reports to Rep. Mike Thompson and CleanSweep
Fundraising Assistance
- Assist Rep. Mike Thompson with donor research, outreach and follow up
- Provide logistical fundraising support, including picking up checks, checking PO Box, database management and more
- Help coordinate fundraising events
- Staff Rep. Mike Thompson at any fundraisers or other events
- Manage Rep. Mike Thompson’s call time to potential donors
Endorsement Gathering
- Track target endorsements and endorsements that have been received
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date endorsement list
- Update the endorsement list on the campaign website and post endorsement updates to the campaign’s social media sites
Local Visibility and Media Outreach
- Identify individuals to submit letters to the editor
- Reach out to and coordinate with local journalists on stories about Rep. Mike Thompson’s campaign activities
- Manage and post on Rep. Mike Thompson’s campaign social media accounts
Job Requirements
- Upbeat, positive attitude and willingness to work campaign hours
- Should be comfortable managing databases, including Google Sheets and Excel
- Experience using PDI or other voter database preferred but not required
- Willingness to manage volunteers
- Comfortable speaking in public on behalf of the campaign preferred but not required
