Berger Hirschberg Strategies (BHS) is seeking a motivated and experienced** Finance Director** to join our New York City office. This leadership role is instrumental in advancing the fundraising efforts of high-profile clients.

Role Overview:
As Finance Director, you will lead the implementation of comprehensive fundraising plans across multiple clients, ensuring they achieve their financial and strategic goals. This position offers hands-on leadership experience in New York City and national political fundraising and provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while honing your expertise in campaign finance.
Key Responsibilities:

Create and implement finance plans and achieve fundraising targets for multiple clients simultaneously.

Manage and staff candidate call times, ensuring schedules and priorities are executed seamlessly.

Plan, organize, and staff successful fundraising events, from inception to completion.

Manage the donor research and prospecting program for various clients to expand fundraising networks and identify new opportunities.

Secure virtual and in-person meetings with top donors.

Executing and coordinating logistics for fundraising trips.

Prepare detailed background materials for events and client meetings.

Oversee accounts to ensure the team meets filing goals.

Ensure compliance with relevant campaign finance regulations.
What We're Looking For:

Experience: 1 - 2 cycles as finance director preferred. If one has been a high-level deputy director on a large campaign and possesses the skills, they are welcome to apply. Ideally at the statewide or congressional level.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and Google Docs is required; familiarity with Numero and NGP is strongly preferred. Knowledge of Donor Atlas, iWave, and Asana is a plus.

Managerial Skills: Ability to manage a staff of four and a team of 5 - 8 fellows. Always providing guidance and direction on varies projects and clients. An ability to forecast ahead on projects to make sure we achieve the client deliverables.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and persuasively.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously. Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management abilities.

Problem-Solving: A resourceful mindset with a “figure it out” attitude, ready to tackle challenges independently and collaboratively.

Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: starting at $65,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
