Job Title: Grassroots Organizer
Andrew Macurdy for State Assembly is seeking a Grassroots Organizer to help flip a state legislative district that has been held by Republicans for years but went 12 points for Kamala Harris last November!
Job Description:
The Grassroots Organizer will assist the campaign manager by leading direct voter contact efforts like phone banking and canvass launches. This position is paid, and will start around 25 hours/week. Weekday evening and weekend availability is common on campaigns and will be expected in this role. This position will report directly and be in contact with the campaign manager on a regular basis.
Job Responsibilities:

Direct Voter Contact duties will include knocking doors and making calls to voters on behalf of the campaign on a regular basis.

Volunteer Event Planning encompasses planning and coordinating in-person and virtual volunteer events with community contacts and recruiting volunteers for these events.

Volunteer Event Coordination will include leading virtual and in-person direct voter contact events including canvass launches and phone banks.
Qualifications and Skills:

Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing schedules.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Regular access to a vehicle is preferred.

Living in or nearby LD21 is preferred.

Some organizing or DVC experience is strongly preferred.
