JOB DESCRIPTION

Friends of Sherrod Brown is seeking a Deputy Director of Operations, Scheduling for the 2026 campaign cycle. The Deputy Director of Operations, Scheduling is a key member of the Operations team working directly with external and internal stakeholders to build a schedule throughout the cycle.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a strong team player, and quick on their feet. This position requires the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, often involving switching back and forth between tasks based on their importance, and an ability to work on projects with limited direction when needed.

The position requires discretion at all times and an understanding of the magnitude of handling confidential information. This position also requires an individual with a valid driver’s license and a comfort level driving in all parts of Ohio.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the Scheduling department’s day-to-day operations by working in tandem with the Deputy Director of Operations, Advance and working with external partners and stakeholders to ensure that the calendar reflects the campaign’s strategic priorities

  • Overseeing the procurement of security for the Senator’s events and travel

  • Advising senior staff and partners on all materials and needs in advance of campaign events

  • Helping manage a high-volume of incoming event invitations

  • Leading scheduling and staffing calls

  • Create scheduling and security Signal chats for each day the senator is at events

  • Additional projects as needed

  • Be the direct manager of the driver, who will body the senator, driving him where needed across the state
