JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Campaign**** Field Director

Job Type: Full-Time

Location (subject to change): Remote

Travel Time: 30%-50% across the State of California

Salary:$75,000 - $85,000

Job Duration: Temporary Role for the duration of the election

Description:

The Field Director will lead the campaign’s statewide voter contact and organizing efforts to mobilize communities, build grassroots power, and turn out supporters across California. This includes recruiting volunteers, attending community events, providing updates to partners, and managing staff and volunteers. The Field Director will report directly to the Campaign Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the statewide field plan, including voter contact goals, persuasion and turnout strategies, and field infrastructure.

  • Design outreach programs that target key constituencies across California’s diverse regions, including youth, communities of color, labor, and immigrant communities.

  • Track field metrics and adjust strategy as needed to meet goals.

  • Hire, train, and manage regional field staff, organizers, and volunteers.

  • Create and implement training programs for canvassing, phone banking, texting, and volunteer recruitment.

  • Foster an inclusive, high-performance team culture that values equity, accountability, and growth.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two cycles of campaign organizing experience

  • Knowledge of California’s geography and political landscape

  • Ability to travel state-wide

  • Management experience

  • Excellent organizational skills, incredible attention to detail

  • Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently when necessary

  • Ability to work effectively within a flexible and adapting work environment

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain systems for record-keeping and reporting

  • Knowledge of and experience with VAN and PDI

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work long hours and weekends
