Job Title: Grassroots Organizer
Andrew Macurdy for State Assembly is seeking a Grassroots Organizer to help flip a state legislative district that has been held by Republicans for years but went 12 points for Kamala Harris last November!
Job Description:
The Grassroots Organizer will assist the campaign manager by organizing and leading direct voter contact events like phone banking and canvassing. This position is paid ($25/hour), and will start around 20 hours/week with the ability to add more hours/week before the end of the cycle. Weekday evening and weekend availability is common on campaigns and will be expected in this role. This position will report directly and be in contact with the campaign manager on a regular basis.
Job Responsibilities:

Direct Voter Contact duties will include knocking doors and making calls to voters on behalf of the campaign on a regular basis.

Volunteer Event Coordination will include leading virtual and in-person direct voter contact events including canvass launches and phone banks.
Qualifications and Skills:

Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing schedules.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Regular access to a vehicle is preferred.

Living in or nearby LD21 is preferred.

Some organizing or DVC experience is strongly preferred.
