JOB DESCRIPTION

Ruwa for Georgia is seeking an experienced and strategic Campaign Manager to lead our Gubernatorial campaign in Georgia. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized and a talented manager of people and time. The ideal candidate also has experience with multi-million dollar campaigns.

This role demands excellent judgment, high-level coordination, and a deep commitment to building a movement.

About the Role

As a Campaign Manager, you will manage projects, handle logistics, supervise department leads (field, finance, communications), ensure message consistency, and track progress to our goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure the successful execution of our campaign plan, including voter targeting, messaging, scheduling, and budgeting while tracking progress to goals.

  • Supervise campaign departments, including field, finance, and communications, and work with the general consultant to manage consultants and vendors.

  • Build systems and processes to keep our campaign going and ensure compliance with those systems.

  • Manage fundraising activities, including call time and events.

  • Oversee public communications and ensure messaging consistency across media platforms.

  • Work with our Political Director to cultivate political and community relationships with stakeholders, unions, elected officials, and endorsers.

  • Troubleshoot strategic, personnel, or logistical challenges to keep the campaign on track.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience managing competitive multi million dollar campaigns; experience in the South preferred, but not required

  • Able to move to Georgia for the duration of the campaign

  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage large, fast-paced teams and shifting priorities.

  • Strategic thinker with excellent organizational and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High level of professionalism, political judgment, and alignment with Democratic values.

  • Availability to work long hours, evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
