JOB DESCRIPTION
Abdul for Senate is seeking talented candidates to work as an Operations Assistant for the 2026 election cycle. We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to our mission of electing Abdul El-Sayed our next U.S. Senator.
Role Overview:
The Operations Assistant is responsible for assisting the Operations Director to ensure that administrative tasks are performed efficiently and effectively to help all campaign departments run smoothly. This will be a part-time position based in Ann Arbor, MI, although there is flexibility with remote work and a relocation timeline. This position offers compensation in the form of an hourly salary.
Responsibilities:

Assist the Operations Director with daily tasks and operational issues

Available to answer task- and process-related questions from internal and external entities

Assist with onboarding processes for new employees

Order and manage office supplies as necessary

Maintain interdepartmental calendar

Other campaign needs as required
Qualifications (Required):
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

Strong problem solving skills

Customer service-oriented attitude

Must have transportation to attend events as needed

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive

Willingness to work irregular hours including some nights and weekends

Superior written and verbal communication skills

Ability to learn new skills and take on new challenges, with a desire to learn and a willingness to ask questions

Ability to balance between competing priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail

Commitment to electing Abdul El-Sayed to the U.S. Senate

Qualifications (Preferred):

A minimum of 6 months work experience in operations
-
Experience directly managing/staffing a principal is a significant plus

Knowledge of campaign finance rules

Previous experience working in Michigan is a significant plus

Local to the Ann Arbor or immediate areas
