JOB DESCRIPTION

Description: Haley Stevens for Michigan is seeking a Deputy Digital Director (Content) to join our growing digital department working to elect Congresswoman Stevens to the Senate in 2026. The Deputy Digital Director (Content) will work closely with the Digital Director and Social Media Manager to execute a social media strategy that maintains the campaign’s message and expands our reach across existing and new social media platforms to engage voters.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who stays current with online trends and also has an understanding of how social media fits into the overall digital strategy of a campaign or organization. You must have a deep understanding of the different types of content that are suited to each social media platform and be able to adapt to the ever changing digital landscape.

Candidates must have video editing and graphic design experience. No program specific requirements but Adobe is preferred.

The ** Deputy Digital Director (Content)** duties will include:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the digital content team, including staff, platform management, influencers content, and content creation.

  • Manage the campaign’s social media program, including calendaring, drafting, posting, and creating brand-specific content across multiple platforms.

  • Working with the communications team to apply opponent messaging across digital channels

  • Capturing and editing video, photo, and audio content; including drafting scripts

  • Brainstorming and proposing content and other long-term projects

  • Working with the campaign ’s Communications and Research departments, as well as other internal and external partners for rapid response moments

  • Traveling and staffing events as needed

  • Regularly analyze social media metrics, reporting on what’s working and making strategic recommendations on where to improve.

  • Other duties within and outside of the digital department

Qualified candidates will have:

  • 1-2 years of prior experience managing social media accounts for an organization, candidate, or brand

  • Experience managing staff

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong photography, video, and audio editing skills

  • Experience growing social media programs

  • Good political instincts

The following experience is beneficial, but not required:

  • Prior political campaign experience

  • Managing an influencer outreach program

  • Experience working with Adobe platforms

Compensation:

  • Salary: $7,500 monthly

  • Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance available at no premium.

  • Leave: Paid time off will be available per campaign policy.

  • Hours: This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
