Finance Director – Democratic Florida Congressional Campaign
Centrist Democratic Candidate in Florida is looking for a Finance Director to lead fundraising and finance operation for a campaign with a several million-dollar fundraising goal. Our candidate is committed to pragmatic solutions, bipartisan cooperation, lowering the temperature of our politics, and delivering results on issues like cost of living, public safety, healthcare, economic opportunity, immigration, and the environment.
The ** Finance Director** will develop and execute a robust fundraising and finance plan to raise several million dollars through 2026. They will oversee day-to-day fundraising activities, including call-time programs, events, donor prospecting and research, online fundraising, email, text, and direct mail programs. They will also work closely with the Campaign Manager to manage finance, compliance, and fundraising staff and consultants. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned fundraising professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, can fundraise millions of dollars, and knows how to win tough races.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan across digital, mail, call time, and events.

Manage donor pipelines, track outreach, and coordinate candidate call time.

Organize high-impact fundraising events, house parties, and donor briefings.

Craft compelling fundraising messaging in collaboration with communications staff.

Cultivate relationships with individual donors, PACs, and allied organizations.

Maintain donor database and ensure timely acknowledgments and follow-ups.

Identify new fundraising opportunities and build strategic partnerships.

Oversee campaign budget, cash flow, and financial projections.

Ensure timely and accurate FEC filings and compliance with all campaign finance laws.

Work with treasurer and compliance consultants to monitor contributions and expenditures.

Manage vendor contracts, invoices, and payment schedules.

Coordinate with digital, field, and communications teams to align fundraising efforts.

Support rapid response fundraising tied to campaign moments and news cycles.

Provide regular fundraising reports and performance metrics to candidate and campaign manager.
Ideal Candidate
-
Proven experience in political fundraising, nonprofit development, or campaign finance. At least one cycle as a Finance Director, and at least two cycles as a Deputy Finance Director or Finance Assistant, preferred.

Deep understanding of FEC regulations and compliance best practices.

Strong interpersonal skills and donor stewardship instincts.

Proficiency with fundraising platforms (NGP VAN, ActBlue, Numero, etc.) and CRM tools.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Prior experience working in swing and red-to-blue districts.

Exceptional organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation
$50-60k annually with $500 healthcare stipend.
