Founding Communications Lead: Build the Voice of a Movement for Local Democracy!

We are looking for a Communications Professional to join as a co-founder and help shape

the brand, storytelling, and community behind GoLocal, a platform that makes local government

more accessible, transparent, and engaging for everyday citizens. Our mission is to empower

people to make a difference in their communities.

This isn’t just a communications role, it’s a chance to define how a movement speaks, connects,

and grows.

At GoLocal, we’re building the go-to hub for civic participation and public policy collaboration in

the U.S., empowering citizens to take active roles in local government while creating the tools

and community to help them succeed.

As our Founding Communications Lead, you’ll help shape GoLocal’s voice and presence

across digital channels, craft campaigns and stories that inspire people to serve and lead in

their communities, and build an engaged online community of civic changemakers. You’ll

collaborate closely with the founding team on outreach, partnerships, and strategy while guiding

the creative direction of our brand and communications.

You’ll be joining at a pivotal moment where your creativity, leadership, and storytelling can

shape not only the brand but the movement itself.

Who You Are

● A storyteller at heart, someone who can translate complex ideas into clear, compelling

narratives

● Passionate about civic engagement, democracy, and community-driven impact

● Experienced in brand communications, marketing, or community engagement (startups,

nonprofits, or social impact work a plus)

● Excited by the opportunity to build from the ground up and take real ownership in a

mission-driven venture
