Development Coordinator Overview:
The Development Coordinator is a passionate advocate for Latino voters and is deeply motivated to build Latino political power. A member of the Development team, the primary responsibilities include overseeing the organization’s donor management platform, facilitating donor communications, and supporting department staff on key projects. The ideal candidate is a highly-organized, self-starter with experience working with CRM tools.
Development Coordinator Responsibilities:

Manage the department’s donor management platform, creating policies and procedures to ensure Maremoto’s donor database is an accurate and effective tool for the department

Plan, implement, and supervise the collection, entry, and updating of all contact, financial, background and relationship information on funders and key stakeholders

Work with staff to maintain accurate donor records, including contact updates, biographical information, news, cultivation notes, and codes

Arrange all necessary training for new systems and processes and provide technical support to all users

Design and produce standard reports for members of the team and Maremoto leadership

Assist with the preparation and distribution of fundraising materials, letters, newsletters, and brochures.

Assists in the management of routine stewardship activities, including gift acknowledgments, thank-you gifts, holiday cards

Support fundraising staff in a range of additional activities related to Maremoto’s development efforts, as needed.
Development Coordinator Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in a related, office environment

Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to multitask

Strong communication skills with an emphasis on writing and editing ability across a range of materials.

Commitment to maintaining the security, confidentiality and integrity of constituent data.

Must have a strong customer service orientation.

High degree of adaptability and ability to move in a fast paced, evolving environment.
The ideal Development Coordinator candidate has:

2-3 years of nonprofit experience in database, marketing, or a closely related industry

Experience using Bloomerang, Mailchimp, Google Slides or similar tools

Previous experience working in a startup environment
Development Coordinator Compensation:
-
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000
-
Employer sponsored healthcare, including platinum or gold health, dental and vision options. Supplementary plans include life and disability insurance.
