JOB DESCRIPTION

Rick McCartney for Congress is the committee for a candidate in AZ-01, a top-tier Democratic pickup target. The campaign is looking for a call time manager to organize, execute, and track the candidate’s fundraising call time efforts. This person would support the finance team by preparing call lists, staffing candidate calls, conducting donor research, managing follow-ups, and tracking pledges.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the candidate’s daily / weekly call time schedule

  • Develop and prepare call sheets: identify prospects, research donors’ giving history, contact data, and notes

  • Staff the candidate during call time: monitor timing, take notes, log call results, ensure candidate is briefed and prepared

  • Track donor pledges, manage follow-up (thank-you notes, next-step calls, or meetings)

  • Maintain and update the donor database / CRM with call outcomes, pledged amounts, statuses, follow-up actions

  • Provide regular reporting to the campaign team (daily and weekly)

  • Prospect new donors or upgrades: research and qualify new leads

  • Support fundraising events logistics, as needed (guest lists, invitations, staffing)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in political campaigns, fundraising, or donor relations preferred

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask in fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with campaign finance tools / platforms (e.g. NGP, ActBlue, Numero, Google Sheets / Excel)

  • Comfortable interacting with donors, maintaining professionalism

  • Willingness to work irregular hours (nights / weekends / events)

  • Ability to coordinate closely with Finance Director and other campaign staff

  • Previous experience in “call time” roles or direct donor outreach preferred

  • Understanding of local / district political landscape in Arizona preferred

  • Ability to travel within the district for events or meetings
