JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

Rob Sand for Iowa is hiring Organizers to work on our gubernatorial campaign. Organizers will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to expand the volunteer network for the campaign. Organizers will manage and execute voter contact tactics such as phone banks, canvasses, voter registration drives, and visibility events. Organizers should be self-starters, problem-solvers, and passionate about electing Rob Sand as the next Governor of Iowa.

About Rob Sand:

Auditor Rob Sand is Iowa’s only statewide elected Democrat. In the first 24 hours in the race Rob raised an Iowa record $2.25m. Immediately after Rob’s entry into the race, Cook Political Report released an updated rating on the Iowa governor’s race, moving it from “Solid Republican” to “Lean Republican,” a rare “‘double jump' rating change,” calling Rob the “strongest contender his party could have recruited for the open seat.”

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills

  • Organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Adaptable to changing needs and program priorities

  • Positive attitude

  • Previous political campaign experience is valued but not required

This position is full-time, would begin in January 2026, and lasts through November 2026. Applicants must have a reliable laptop, cell phone, and vehicle. Applicants must also be comfortable working irregular hours including nights and weekends.

Compensation:

$4k/month with additional health care stipend

Please send resumes and three references to [email protected]. Cover letter optional (you're welcome) but would love a sentence or two about yourself, and why you're interested in joining the team!
