JOB DESCRIPTION

that's not my neighbor is a spine-chilling horror game that places players in the role of a doorman working at an apartment building in 1955. On the surface, your job seems simple — check IDs, open doors, and let residents in. But soon, you realize that something far more sinister is at play. Doppelgangers — eerie impostors that mimic real residents — are trying to sneak into the building, and it’s up to you to stop them.

The gameplay revolves around keen observation, memory, and attention to detail. Each resident has a specific appearance, voice, and set of identifying documents. The challenge lies in spotting subtle inconsistencies — maybe the hair color doesn’t match the photo, the voice sounds off, or the person’s expression feels strangely hollow. Every small clue could mean the difference between safety and disaster.

The atmosphere is tense and claustrophobic, enhanced by retro visuals, dim lighting, and unsettling sound effects that keep you constantly on edge. As the game progresses, the line between human and monster begins to blur, pushing you to question your own judgment and sanity.

That’s Not My Neighbor stands out for its unique blend of detective mechanics and psychological horror. It’s not about jump scares but about slow-building dread — the unease of not knowing who you can trust. Each shift as the doorman becomes a test of perception, courage, and composure under pressure.
