Location: Pasadena, California (Hybrid — In-person 2–3 days per week)

Position Summary
The Strategist will play a central role in shaping and executing campaign strategies for Democratic candidates, ballot measures, and progressive organizations throughout the 2026 election cycle.
This position is full-time but time-limited, expected to run through the conclusion of the November 2026 general election and post-campaign wrap-up period.
The ideal candidate is a creative strategist and strong communicator who can manage multiple projects, clients, and deliverables in a fast-paced, collaborative political environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic planning and message development for client campaigns.

Create and manage mail, digital, and field plans in coordination with creative and analytics teams.

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams — including design, production, digital, and research — to deliver cohesive, high-quality work.

Analyze polling data and voter research to guide targeting and messaging decisions.

Write compelling copy for direct mail, press releases, statements, and other materials.

Manage client relationships, budgets, and project timelines.

Oversee creative concepts and production schedules, maintaining strategic focus under tight deadlines.

Ensure all campaign activities comply with ethical standards, AI, and data privacy regulations.
Qualifications

5–7 years of experience in political strategy, communications, or campaign management.

Strong understanding of voter targeting, persuasion, and turnout strategies.

Demonstrated experience working across mail, digital, and earned media channels.

Exceptional writing, messaging, and editing skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple clients, budgets, and projects simultaneously.

Strategic, detail-oriented, and creative thinker who thrives under pressure.
· Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple stakeholders.
· Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, during peak election periods.
Work Environment and Location
This position is based in our Pasadena, California office. The Strategist role is hybrid, with an expectation of being in the office 2–3 days per week for collaboration, client meetings, and creative sessions. Candidates must reside in the greater Los Angeles area or be willing to relocate prior to their start date. Regular in-person attendance is required; this is not a remote-only position.
The Strategy Group complies with all applicable state and federal labor laws, including California Labor Code §2802, regarding reimbursement for required business expenses for hybrid work.
Duration
This is a time-limited position aligned with the 2026 election cycle. Employment is expected to continue through November 2026, with the possibility of extension based on organizational needs and performance. All standard employee protections, benefits, and California labor law requirements apply during the full term of employment.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $85,000 – $115,000, annually commensurate with experience and qualifications.
