About Youth Civic Accelerator
Our vision is to build and seed sustainable civic infrastructure that centers young people, BIPOC communities, and working-class voters, especially those historically excluded from political power. Through bold organizing, strategic civic engagement, and aligned electoral programming, this new formation will seek to build power, shape narrative, and drive measurable outcomes across elections and issue-based campaigns.
We believe that long-term political transformation in our country requires bold experimentation, strong operational alignment, and a willingness to invest in shared infrastructure while coordinating local efforts under a cohesive national strategy. By uniting state affiliates within a clearly defined set of political priorities, we can leverage the advantages of collective resources and coordination, even as each affiliate tailors its approach to meet the distinct needs of its community.

Position Summary
Badger Youth Organizing (BYO) / Badger Youth Action (BYA) is hiring an Organizing Director to lead our strategy in Wisconsin. This role will train and supervise the regional organizers, as well as plan, execute, and track base building and volunteer engagement efforts. They will also provide hands-on support for youth-led campaigns and power-building on college campuses in the state. This role is for someone with the discipline and skills to think strategically, act decisively, and organize effectively within the realities of the world as it is in order to shift power where it matters most.
We’re looking for someone who can craft an innovative organizing strategy for building youth and BIPOC power in the state, with data-informed goals and specific timelines to accomplish our goals, strategize on how we meet them, and ensure that the organization is maintaining a consistent, compelling, and effective community engagement plan.
The strongest candidates will be those who are energized by talking to new people, passionate about civic power, and eager to turn campuses into hubs of democratic participation. They will be bold, creative, and deeply committed to meeting students where they are, in dorms, clubs, classrooms, and beyond, and have experience leading successful organizing efforts.
This position is not for idealists who only dream about how the world should be; it is for a builder, a strategist, and an executor who is willing to organize in the reality of how things are to shift power where it matters.
