JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview
Manny Rutinel for Congress seeks a talented, hard-working, and highly organized Finance
Director or Deputy Finance Director for a competitive Democratic congressional race. This
position is full-time with a January 2026 start date through June 2026 (primary election), with the
possibility of continuing through November 2026 (general election) if the primary is won.
Key Responsibilities
●
_Finance Director: _Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan for the
campaign in collaboration with campaign leadership and fundraising consultants /
Deputy Finance Director: Support campaign leadership and fundraising consultants in
executing the campaign’s fundraising plan
●
Manage candidate call time with the candidate, log all call data, create and ensure all
call lists are ready and accurate for call time, complete any necessary follow up calls
●
Plan and execute fundraising events and staff candidate during fundraising events and
meetings
●
Use technology in a creative and organized manner to make the fundraising process
more efficient and effective and maximize candidate time
●
Provide general administrative and logistical support to the fundraising operation
●
Collaborate with digital fundraising and compliance vendors as needed
●
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
●
Experience working in a role, ideally in a campaign environment, requiring a high level of
organization and handling multiple projects simultaneously
●
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
●
Proficiency with Google Sheets/Google Drive and other workplace technology
●
Strong interpersonal and written professional communication skills.
●
Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure and problem solve effectively and
creatively.
●
Drivers license and access to a vehicle.
●
Proven interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to build
relationships with staff and donors at all levels
●
Willing to relocate to the CO-08 area and willing to work campaign hours including
evenings and weekends.
●
Additionally to be considered for the Finance Director position: Previous experience as a
Deputy Finance Director or Finance Director as part of a top-tier campaign fundraising
program, including experience with call time, events, and finance planning Preferred Qualifications
●
Familiarity with Colorado politics or communities
●
Fluency in Spanish.
●
Strong ties to diverse communities within CO-08.
●
Technical skills that can help automate and improve our processes - CRMs, mail merge,
advanced spreadsheet skills, light coding, etc.
Compensation & How to Apply
- Salary: $4,500–$5,500/month (Deputy Finance Director) or $5,500-7,000+/month (Finance
Director), commensurate with experience.
- Primary win bonus: Negotiable.
- Benefits: Negotiable.
- Term: Full-time through June 2026 (primary election), with potential continuation through
November 2026 (general election) if the campaign advances.
