JOB DESCRIPTION

Digital Director

Location: Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Reports To: Campaign Manager

Salary: $9,000-$12,000/mo.

Job Type: Full-time, Cycle Position (through November 2026)

About the Campaign

We’re building a bold, progressive team to take on one of the most competitive and consequential Senate races in the country. Our campaign is rooted in building a better future for Florida’s families—not manufacturing outrage to divide us. We’re using digital tools to engage voters, tell authentic stories, and drive real action both online and on the ground.

Position Summary

The Digital Director will lead and execute the campaign’s comprehensive digital strategy, with a primary focus on creating compelling, persuasive, and shareable video content. The ideal candidate is a creative strategist with strong political instincts, video production experience, and a drive to build online momentum that translates into offline organizing power. This role oversees the campaign’s online presence across all platforms, manages paid digital advertising, and ensures digital efforts align with campaign goals, messaging, and fundraising priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Video & Content Production (≈60%)

  • Lead creation of high-quality, rapid-response video content (ads, testimonials, reels, behind-the-scenes, etc.).

  • Script, shoot, and edit videos that reflect campaign tone and message.

  • Develop and manage a content calendar across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, TikTok, YouTube).

  • Monitor analytics to optimize engagement and performance.

  • Digital Strategy & Management

  • Direct the campaign’s digital fundraising and acquisition programs, ensuring consistent branding and strong ROI.

  • Manage and grow the campaign’s social media presence.

  • Oversee paid digital advertising in collaboration with consultants and vendors.

  • Coordinate with communications, organizing, and data teams to align digital strategy with overall campaign goals.

  • Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Hire and manage digital staff, interns, or contractors as needed.

  • Collaborate with consultants (polling, media, email, digital ads) to align creative direction and strategy.

  • Ensure digital content meets accessibility (ADA) and inclusion standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in digital strategy, content production, or political communications.

  • Proven record producing short-form political video content from concept to completion.

  • Proficiency with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut).

  • Experience managing social media platforms and paid ad campaigns.

  • Familiarity with email CRMs (ActionKit, NGPVAN, Blue State Digital).

  • Strong writing, storytelling, and rapid-response instincts.

  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced campaign environment.

  • Commitment to Democratic values and electing progressive candidates.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with photography, motion graphics, or animation.

  • Fluency in Spanish or additional languages.
