Applicants will be considered on a rolling basis with a start date in early January. This is a part-time position with the Abdul for Senate campaign, and is expected to conclude in April 2026, with potential to extend further. Field Fellows will be paid a weekly stipend of $250 for 15 hours each week.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Abdul for Senate is seeking talented candidates to work as field fellows for the 2026 election cycle. We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to our mission of electing Abdul El-Sayed our next U.S. Senator.

Role Overview:

Field fellows will be the backbone of our organizing program, helping us build people power across Michigan. Fellows will recruit, train, and support volunteers while engaging voters directly in their communities to build support ahead of the 2026 primary. This will be a part time position based around the state. This position offers compensation in the form of a $250 weekly stipend for an average of 15 hours of work each week.

Responsibilities:

● Lead campus organizing efforts

● Recruit and onboard volunteers through outreach calls, texts, and in-person conversations

● Conduct voter contact via door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and texting

● Help plan and execute local organizing events, trainings, and canvasses

● Track data in campaign tools to measure outreach and progress

● Provide interdepartmental support to digital, communications, and finance efforts

● Other campaign needs as required

Qualifications (Required):

● Must have transportation to attend events as needed

● Proficiency with Google Drive and Sheets/Excel

● Superior written and verbal communication skills

● Ability to learn new skills and take on new challenges, with a desire to learn and a willingness to ask questions

● Ability to balance between competing priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail

● Commitment to electing Abdul El-Sayed to the U.S. Senate

● Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence – the awareness, knowledge and skills needed to work with others who are culturally different from self in meaningful, relevant and productive ways

● Personal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability

Qualifications (Preferred):

● Previous experience in field organizing or other campaign work is a plus

● Previous experience working in Michigan is a significant plus
