Deputy Finance Director

Location: Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Reports To: Finance Director

Salary: $7,000-$9,000/month

Job Type: Full-time, Cycle Position (through November 2026)

Role Overview

The Deputy Finance Director will help drive the fundraising operation that powers one of the nation’s most high-impact campaigns. This role is responsible for supporting the campaign’s fundraising efforts through donor events, call time management, and relationship building. This is a full-time position based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, with flexibility for remote work and a relocation timeline. Compensation includes a competitive monthly salary and healthcare benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage candidate call time and assist with donor research and follow-up.

• Plan and execute fundraising events, including logistics, invitations, and follow-up.

• Coordinate event travel (expenses covered by the campaign).

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors and prospective supporters.

• Track contributions and maintain accurate donor records in compliance with FEC regulations.

• Support data entry, call sheets, and follow-up communications.

• Staff the candidate and Finance Director at fundraising events as needed.

• Assist with other campaign priorities as assigned.

Qualifications (Required)

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.

• Experience building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.

• Previous campaign experience preferred but not required.

• Reliable transportation to attend events as needed.

• Proficiency with Excel, Google Drive, and data management tools.

• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.

• Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

• Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence and work effectively with diverse communities.

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment across race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, and other identities.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Campaign and/or fundraising experience.

• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

• Prior experience working in Michigan is a significant plus.
