JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview
There are over 80 colleges and universities in Michigan, with nearly half a million students. Founded in 2024, For Michigan organizes students across the state to turn out in critical statewide elections. With reach at over 40 campuses in 2024, we helped break campus turnout records—more votes were cast in campus precincts than in 2020, 2016, or 2012.
Building on our 2024 and 2025 programs, For Michigan will run a robust 2026 campus mobilization program that invests in full-time organizers, paid student fellows, and digital content made for and by students. Our team will recruit, train, and support young leaders to run the largest student-focused voter registration and GOTV program in the state, ensuring students are ready to show up in a pivotal midterm election.
The Deputy State Director will serve as a senior leader of the program, working closely with the State Director to drive strategy, manage partnerships, and ensure that every piece of the program is set up for success.

-
All other duties as assigned
