JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you the most organized person you know? Do you love budgets and spreadsheets? Do you want to help elect Democrats across the country in 2026?

Come join our team at McKenna Media, a 100% woman owned Democratic media firm.

We are seeking an organized self-starter to join our team as Staff Assistant for McKenna Media. The Staff Assistant will support all elements of the firm’s work, starting with keeping our administrative, budget, and organizational elements running smoothly.

The number one qualification for this position is impeccable organizational skills, particularly when it comes to keeping track of numbers and spreadsheets. Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

· Maintaining the firm’s internal organizational and external communications systems, including Google Drive, Dropbox, Mailchimp and more

· Helping build budgets and manage invoices and payables

· Supporting client work and research projects that help our clients win races

· Supporting the firm’s partners with administrative, scheduling and other organizational tasks

· Other administrative duties as assigned

This is an entry-level position, but candidates must have experience demonstrating these skills through internships or other work experience. An excellent candidate for this position will have:

· Impeccable organizational skills

· Experience managing budgets, with an eye for catching mistakes, anticipating problems, and communicating with vendors

· Strong internal communication skills

· Graphic design and strong writing skills are not required, but a candidate with these qualities will easily find opportunities to exercise and grow those abilities
