JOB DESCRIPTION
Alan Pardee for Congress is searching for a Field Director to join a growing team working to elect Alan Pardee as the next member of Congress from NY-12. The Field Director is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive grassroots organizing and mobilization strategy to identify, motivate, and turn out voters across the district in the 2026 cycle. The Field Director reports directly to the Campaign Manager. This is a full time position, and will be based in New York, New York.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
● Create and implement a district-wide campaign field plan.
● Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers and organizers.
● Develop and implement engagement and voter mobilization strategies within Organized
Labor, LGBTQIA+, AAPI, Black, Hispanic, Immigrant, Indigenous and Faith communities
● Create staff and volunteer training materials.
● Develop appropriate metrics and manage systems of accountability for staff and
volunteers.
● Analyze data and modeling to create and track progress in voter contact universes.
● Organize and oversee grassroots and outreach events around the city.
● Create partnerships with grassroots organizations and groups around New York and
work with them to build capacity for the campaign’s organizing efforts.
● Other duties as assigned by the Campaign Manager.
Qualifications:
● At least one cycle of field experience. Previously held Regional Field/Organizing Director
or Field/Organizing Director positions are a strong plus.
● Experience working in New York City is a plus.
● Understanding of targeting and metrics.
● Experience recruiting, hiring, training and managing a team.
● Commitment to establishing a culture of respect and community.
● Experience building and managing grassroots events.
● Demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders and community leaders.
● Proficiency in VAN and Google Docs.
● Experience developing, training and empowering volunteers.
● Frequent travel required.
● Must be located or willing to relocate to New York, NY.
Additional sought-after qualities:
● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks accordingly.
● Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
● Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, NGPVAN, Numero, or
other similar donor database experience.
● Exceptional attention to detail.
● Willingness to learn and ask questions.
