Abdul for Senate is seeking talented candidates to work as a Deputy Finance Director for the 2026 election cycle. We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to our mission of electing Abdul El-Sayed our next U.S. Senator.

Role Overview:

The Deputy Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the events, and donor relations. This will be a full time position based in Ann Arbor, MI, although there is flexibility with remote work and a relocation timeline. This position offers compensation in the form of a monthly salary and healthcare benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Staff Management

• Donor Management

• Event Travel

• Event logistics

• Principal Management

• Other campaign needs as required

Qualifications (Required):

• A minimum of 4-6 years of work experience in campaign finance is required

• Must have transportation to attend events as needed; national event transportation will be provided

• Proficiency with Excel and Google Drive

• Willingness to work irregular hours, including some nights and weekends.

• Superior written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to learn new skills and take on new challenges, with a desire to learn and a willingness to ask questions

• Ability to balance between competing priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail

• Commitment to electing Abdul El-Sayed to the U.S. Senate

• Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence – the awareness, knowledge and skills needed to work with others who are culturally different from self in meaningful, relevant and productive ways

• Personal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability

Qualifications (Preferred):

• Digital Fundraising

• Experience directly managing/staffing a principal is a significant plus

• Previous experience working in Michigan is a significant plus

• Previous experience fundraising for statewide elections is a significant plus
