A progressive congressional campaign in ** South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley** is seeking an experienced and highly motivated** Campaign Manager** to lead all aspects of a competitive campaign operation.
The Campaign Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of the campaign, including strategy, staffing, budget, and execution, and will supervise all staff and consultants. This role works closely with the candidate to implement a comprehensive campaign plan encompassing fundraising, field, communications, digital, voter contact, and get-out-the-vote efforts.
** Salary:** $5,000–$7,500 per month, commensurate with experience
Location: Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, or within South Texas
Travel: Regular travel required; evenings and weekends as needed
Reports to: Candidate
Key Responsibilities
● Manage the overall campaign operation, strategy, and budget
● Strategically manage the candidate’s time with an emphasis on donor and voter contact
● Supervise Finance, Field, Communications, and Digital teams
● Draft and post social media content, press releases, endorsement questionnaires, and campaign emails
● Help refine campaign messaging and platform priorities
● Recruit, train, and manage volunteers
● Lead community outreach and field efforts to build a diverse political coalition
● Schedule and coordinate fundraising call time with the candidate and finance consultants
● Maintain and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan
● Build and maintain strong political and community relationships
● Oversee the execution of a robust field and GOTV program
● Perform additional tasks as needed to support campaign goals
Required Qualifications
● Proficiency with campaign technologies including ** NGP, PDI/VAN, P2P texting platforms, Canva, Mailchimp, CRMs, Google Suite, and ActBlue**
● At least one full campaign cycle in a ** management or senior leadership role**
● Experience in grassroots, labor, and/or political organizing
● Demonstrated success mobilizing volunteers and building community leadership
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
● Experience managing large, diverse teams of volunteers or staff
Preferred Qualifications
● Fluency in Spanish
● Experience managing staff or volunteers remotely
