Call Time Manager Job Description:
Iowa State Representative Lindsay James is hiring a Call Time Manager to manage the day to day operations of the call time program on one of the most competitive open seats in the Midwest. IA-02 has been named a “District in Play” by the DCCC, and shifted in Cook Political report rating after Republican Congresswoman Ashley Hinson vacated the race. Lindsay James is also a proud EMILY’s List endorsed candidate.
Rep. Lindsay James has served in the Iowa State House since 2018, including as Democratic Whip for the 2024 cycle. Lindsay is an ordained presbyterian pastor who served as a college chaplain prior to her work in the legislature.
The Call Time Manager will report to and work with the Finance Director and Campaign Manager and is responsible for managing principal call time and supporting the Finance Director in achieving overall campaign finance goals. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Dubuque, Iowa. Responsibilities
● Manage principal call time, including donor research, preparing call sheets, tracking call time statistics, conducting all follow-up correspondence, and officially thanking donors
● Regularly staff the candidate at fundraisers and other political events in the district
● Ensure regular and accurate maintenance of finance records, trackers, and databases
● Research and target prospective donors and steward existing donors
● Other duties as assigned by the Candidate, Campaign Manager, or Finance Director based on the needs of the campaign
Qualifications
● Experience conducting donor research and staffing a principal preferred but not required
● Proficiency in G-Suite, NGP, ActBlue, and familiarity with call time software (e.g. Calltime.ai) as well as federal campaign finance law preferred but not required
● Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
● Exceptional attention to detail and willingness to ask questions
● Professional demeanor and willingness to adapt to a changing environment
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work a campaign’s irregular hours, including some nights and weekends
● Access to cell phone, laptop, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $4,000 – $5,000/month, commensurate with experience. Lindsay for Iowa offers medical, vision and dental insurance.
