JOB DESCRIPTION

The John Beccia for Congress campaign is seeking an experienced, organized, and demonstrated team player to serve as a Political Director on a competitive Democratic Primary in Massachusetts' 06. The Political Director will play a critical role in driving the campaign’s political strategy in the district. This position involves building meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, coordinating grassroots efforts, managing political events, and collaborating closely with the campaign team to implement the overall political outreach strategy.

The Political Director will report directly to the Campaign Manager. This is a full-time position based in the North Shore of Massachusetts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Campaign leadership to craft and implement regional strategies that align with the Campaign’s goals.

  • Foster and maintain relationships with elected officials, party leaders, advocacy groups, and community influencers to build regional support for the Campaign.

  • Identify and collaborate with key demographic groups, interest-based organizations, and community leaders to establish and strengthen diverse coalitions.

  • Plan and execute political events, such as rallies, business visits, town halls, and fundraising activities, to maximize engagement.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the Campaign’s mission.

  • Lead grassroots initiatives by recruiting volunteers, executing voter outreach programs, and driving mobilization efforts.

  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • At least (2) two years of organizing experience with a strong preference for at least (1) one cycle in Massachusetts

  • Access to a car and ability to easily travel.

  • North Shore, Massachusetts experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of political dynamics and stakeholder engagement.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and execute events and initiatives.

  • Willingness to travel within the designated district and work irregular hours as needed.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse groups.

Compensation:

$5,000 - $6,000 a month, commensurate with experience.
