The Position:

The Finance Director will work closely with the Campaign Manager, oversee all aspects of the campaign’s fundraising program, and manage a growing team to ensure the campaign meets its ambitious finance goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic, detail-oriented fundraiser with experience developing donor relationships, managing call time, and planning fundraising events.

This position is based in Lawrence, Kansas, and requires the ability to work non-traditional hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the campaign’s overall fundraising plan to meet monthly, quarterly, and long-term goals.

• Manage the campaign's fundraising operations, including call sheets, donor research, fundraising events, and donor outreach.

• Oversee and mentor the Call Time Manager and fundraising interns.

• Work with the Compliance Director to ensure accurate and timely tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of contributions.

• Partner with the digital fundraising firm to align email, text, and paid digital fundraising efforts with the overall finance strategy.

• Build and maintain relationships with donors and allied organizations across Kansas and nationally.

• Produce regular financial reports and projection updates for the Campaign Manager and Candidate.

Qualifications

• Prior campaign fundraising experience required; experience at the statewide level is preferred.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Experience with NGP, ActBlue, and Google Workspace.
