Former Congressman Tom Perriello seeks a talented, driven campaign manager in his race to bring principled, progressive leadership back to Virginia's 5th Congressional District and secure a Democratic majority in the US House.
Core Duties
The Campaign Manager will partner with the candidate to plan and execute a winning campaign strategy. Core duties include:

working with the Finance Director to develop and maintain a campaign budget and fundraising plan

working with the Organizing Director to design and execute an effective organizing plan that combines traditional field outreach methods with more recent innovations in digital and relational organizing

building a communications team to integrate paid media, earned media, and in-house digital communications to deliver consistent, impactful messaging

developing and maintaining relationships with local, state, and national partners
-
monitoring polling, opposition research, and district dynamics to inform strategy
-
hiring, supervising, and mentoring staff to ensure quality, timely work as they develop their own professional skills

managing the daily operations of the campaign team to ensure we use our time and resources on the work that matters most
Required Qualifications

a resourceful, agile, and disciplined attitude for strategic planning

excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills

sound data management skills

an eagle eye for detail and efficient workflows

fluency with some of our core tech tools (GSuite, NGP, Votebuilder, etc.) and eagerness to learn more

ability to work long hours and meet tight deadlines

passion and patience for motivating and supporting staff and volunteers

a sincere commitment to service and community engagement
Desired Qualifications
-
1 or more cycles in a campaign manager or deputy campaign manager role in a race with a similar scope and budget, though we welcome applicants with transferable skills from other career paths

experience working in Virginia politics and/or swing districts
Location and Schedule
- Start date is flexible. We aim to have a new hire engaging at least part-time remotely in January and in-district, full-time by February 2025.
Compensation
-
Minimum salary of $8,000 per month. Additional compensation commensurate with skills and experience.

This position will be eligible for a $300 monthly reimbursement for health insurance expenses, if desired.
