JOB DESCRIPTION
Nate Blouin ’s competitive primary campaign for Congress in Utah’s 1st District is seeking an Organizing Director to oversee the campaign’s volunteer operations on the ground in Salt Lake City Utah. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a strong background in political strategy, volunteer management, and coalition-building. This role requires sound judgment, creative problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Primary Responsibilities

Manage organizing staff and monitor paid signature gathering operation day-to-day. Delegate roles, and responsibilities to develop and execute an organizing plan, including voter targeting and messaging.

Manage campaign’s organizing and political departments.

Manage and develop volunteer leadership through individual coaching and escalation of responsibilities.

Build and maintain relationships with political, community, and labor leaders, elected officials, and endorsing organizations to drive them toward action and support.

Manage in-person and online volunteer programming related to the signature gathering process in Utah and establish a house-party program that drives content creation and in-person engagement.

Manage Digital Organizing Staff so online-presence and Discord server help drive online support into action.

Identify and troubleshoot strategic, personnel, or logistical challenges to keep the campaign on track and moving forward as it relates to metrics based goals)
Minimum Qualifications
-
Minimum 2 cycles of campaign experience, including at least one in a senior leadership role (Deputy Organizing Director, Regional Organizing Director, or equivalent).

Proficiency with campaign tools such as Votebuilder and Google Workspace.

Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.

Must be based in or able to relocate to Utah through June 2026.
