JOB DESCRIPTION
Friends of Sherrod Brown is hiring Regional Managers for the 2026 election cycle to support the campaign’s statewide political strategy. As members of the Political Department, Regional Managers will work under the direction of the Deputy Political Director to implement region-specific political plans, build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders and partner organizations, and help translate campaign priorities into meaningful engagement with voters.
Successful candidates will bring a strong understanding of an Ohio region’s political landscape, demonstrated experience organizing events, and the ability to cultivate trusted relationships with elected officials, community leaders, and grassroots partners. The position requires discretion at all times and an understanding of the magnitude of handling confidential information. This position also requires an individual with a valid driver’s license and a comfort level driving in all parts of Ohio.
Location: Dependent on manager’s dedicated region
Responsibilities include:

Execute the regional strategy for a top-tier Senate race

Engage local partners and stakeholders in a region of the state

Collaborate with other Political Department staff to execute regional political work and track progress against department goals

Build and maintain trackers, contact lists, reporting structures, and other internal systems

Be able to track and alert Deputies to local priorities for the candidate’s schedule, including events, meetings, and call time

Keep the Political Director and Deputy Directors informed of critical political dynamics in their region

Travel and staff events as needed
Qualified candidates will have:

1+ cycle of campaign experience
-
An understanding of Ohio and their regional landscape

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders and principals

A strategic approach to solving complex political scenarios

A willingness to engage all parts of the Democratic coalition in Ohio
-
Strong attention to detail with ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and tight deadlines
-
A commitment to a no-drama attitude
