JOB DESCRIPTION

The Grassroots Campaign Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of a small, people-powered City Council campaign. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, self-motivated, and passionate about local politics, community engagement, and winning elections with limited resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall campaign strategy and daily operations in collaboration with the candidate

  • Direct, delegate, and review tasks to campaign leads, including Finance Director, Field Coordinator, Communication Director, etc.

  • Oversee fundraising strategy, donor tracking, and compliance with local election laws

  • Manage campaign budget, timeline, and reporting

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, vendors, and community stakeholders

  • Track voter data, metrics, and progress toward campaign goals

  • Prepare the candidate for events, forums, debates, and media opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Prior campaign, organizing, or political experience preferred

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment

  • Commitment to grassroots, community-centered political work

Compensation:
