JOB DESCRIPTION

The Bale Dalton for Congress campaign is seeking a Finance Director. This is a senior staff position that will report to the campaign manager and work closely with the candidate and consulting team in a competitive, nationally targeted Red to Blue race. The Finance Director will oversee the campaign’s finance plan, manage and plan events, conduct donor research, and facilitate call time planning and follow up.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the campaign’s finance program and team, including hiring interns and staff as needed and managing fundraising consultants

  • Own and regularly update a comprehensive finance plan that outlines fundraising goals and sets weekly, monthly, and quarterly projections by funding stream

  • Oversee campaign finance compliance and FEC reports, including jointly managing the compliance consultant with the campaign manager.

  • Plan, execute, and maintain an events program

  • Oversee call time and staff as needed

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with donors, partners, and committees

  • Regularly staff the candidate at fundraisers and other political events

  • Maintain and update all finance trackers and databases

  • Research and oversee outreach to prospective donors

  • Other duties as assigned by the Candidate or Campaign Manager, as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two cycles of campaign fundraising experience

  • Experience managing candidate call time and planning high-dollar fundraising events

  • Proficiency in NGP, ActBlue, and CallTime AI;

  • Familiarity with FEC rules and regulations

  • Team player, well organized, and able to manage multiple fast-moving projects at once

  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment that will include some nights and weekends

  • Access to cell phone, laptop, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $6,500 – $8,000/month, commensurate with experience. Healthcare benefits and/or a monthly health care stipend will be provided.
